Thomastown United Manager Stephen Walsh says that having plenty to play for in the closing weeks of the season makes training more interesting.
Speaking to KCLR ahead of their McCalmont Cup Quarter-Final clash against Freebooters B on Sunday, Stephen says the games involving themselves Evergreen and Freebooters could be very significant to the outcome of the League.
“We are still involved in the Premier Division of the League big time and Quarter-Final of the Cup.
“It’s been a good season, training wise it’s been good and numbers are good and we’re happy enough with everything.
“The League has probably the tightest that it has been for a long time with three teams involved and we are right up there with Evergreen and Booters and we all have to play each other.
“It gives lads a great interest come the end of the season, if we had nothing to play for we would be just running out the season,” he said.
