Thomastown United Chairman Ger Walsh says there is plenty of activities on show for their Round Two Intermediate League clash at home to Young Irelands of Gowran today(Sunday) in which will be the first match played in Thomastown since the pitch was vandalized earlier on in the year.

Speaking to KCLR ahead of today’s (Sunday’s) clash, Ger outlines what will be happening today aside from the match itself.

He said “Gowran have come on board and we are going to have an Under-7 and Under-9 match during the half-time, but we are also going to have bouncy castles and a bit of music just to create an atmosphere for the whole community to come out and just to see what can been achieved and what has been done”.

“It was a dark day the Saturday after the damage was done, but for people to come back down now and see what has been achieved by the club and by volunteers so we are issuing an invitation to everybody to come down and everything is free so come on down, not admission obviously, but bouncy castles and all that stuff will be free for all the kids”.
