Thomastown United manager Stephen Walsh says they would love to have Shamrock Rovers at home in the next round of the Leinster Senior Cup.
Speaking to KCLR after defeating Navan Cosmos on Sunday, Stephen says their run in the competition is fairytale stuff….
“I would love to bring them down to Thomastown. I would love to. That’s not to say we might go and ask them would they come down and play us”
“I would love to have them down in United Park. I mean just think of the crowd and the occasion down in Thomastown , it would be absolutely brilliant like”
“It’s fairytale stuff, I mean a group of Junior players there going and playing a League of Ireland Team fair enough, but Shamrock Rovers they are probably the best known League of Ireland Team really, and just to be going playing them for a club like Thomastown it’s massive”
