Thomastown United manager Stevie Walsh admits it’s going to be difficult to raise themselves for Wednesday’s Premier Division clash against Freebooters after the disappointment of Sunday’s McCalmont Cup Final to Evergreen.
Thomastown must beat Freebooters to set-up a play-off next Sunday with Evergreen, and speaking to KCLR after Sunday’s Cup Final defeat, Stevie says they are determined to have another crack at Evergreen.
“At 1-0, we had a lot of the play, but just couldn’t get that chance and the lads came on, done well.
“Fresh men coming on is tough to play against, but they are good players and listen we have Wednesday night, and we have to go again, and that’s it.
“I’m sure it’s going to be difficult, I mean we just want to have another belt at Evergreen so we have go and beat Freebooters next Wednesday night to do that,” he said.
