Three local athletes have been selected for Team Ireland in the upcoming European Team Athletic Championships.
Molly Scott who won silver in the 100 metres at the Nationals on Sunday has been selected for the women’s 4 x 100m relay team.
Another Carlow sprinter Marcus Lawlor who won bronze in the 200 metres at the World University Games earlier this month will compete again at 200 metres and also in the 4 by 100 metre relay team
Glenmore’s Sophie Becker who competed in the Under 23 European championships in recent weeks goes in the 4 x 400m relay team.
The competitions are in Norway from August 9th to 11th.
