Gowran Park General Manager Eddie Scally says they have huge plans throughout 2020 for the racecourse.
He told KCLR “The entrance area we have started a planting system, putting in a lot of trees there at the moment and people will see that starting on Thyestes Day”.
“We have a signed a new contract with Boylesports to take over our SP shop so that’s been fully kitted out at the moment, and then I suppose the biggest project that’s going to be coming on, but we are looking at maybe early to mid-March during the Cheltenham Festival around that time, looking at re-roofing the main stand, and once that stand is re-roofed we are going to start redeveloping below the stand so the facilities there, the self-service restaurant, the ground floor bar, all of them are going to be getting a facelift”.
