It’s another bumper weekend of All-Ireland action on the camogie and football front with Kilkenny and Carlow representing at home and away this weekend.
In the TG4 All-Ireland Ladies Junior Football Championship, Carlow will be hoping to continue their strong form so far that as seen them pick up two wins from two games as they welcome London to Netwatch Cullen Park on Sunday.
There’s a 2pm throw-in time for that one and while it will be a tough test, a win could see Carlow’s ladies through to an All-Ireland junior football semi-final. We’ll have more on the buildup to that game on-air ahead of the weekend.
On the camogie front, Kilkenny are back at UPMC Nowlan Park for their Glen Dimplex All-Ireland senior camogie championship round 4 clash with Offaly. Already assured of a place in this year’s quarter-finals at least, Brian Dowling’s side are going for a fourth straight win ahead of their final group game with Galway.
The top three sides in the group will progress, the top two heading to the semi-finals in Croke Park next month with the third-placed team head for the quarter-finals.
Throw-in for that game is 2pm on Saturday and we’ll have full coverage live from UPMC Nowlan Park with thanks to RMC Construction Ltd.
While Carlow have a weekend off, Kilkenny are also in action in the intermediate championship with a trip to Wexford on the cards for Saturday. It’s a later throw-in there for John Scott’s side with Buffers Alley GAA grounds hosting the 5pm game.
Kilkenny are sitting in third after three games and know that a win is a must to give them the best opportunity of making the knockout stages of this year’s championship.
