World golf’s current number one player Scottie Scheffler will join Tiger Woods and Rory McIlroy at the JP McManus Pro-Am event at Adare Manor.
McIlroy had already announced last week that he would be missing from this year’s Horizon Irish Open, using the week of the Irish Open in Kilkenny as a rest week ahead of the Pro-Am on 4-5 July before breaking again in time for the Open.
2015 Masters winner Jordan Speith is also confirmed to attend.
This year’s Horizon Irish Open takes place the weekend leading into the pro-am at Adare Manor.
Who’s confirmed for Kilkenny?
Among those already confirmed for Mount Juliet are Irish trio Padraig Harrington, Seamus Power and Shane Lowery along with Belgium’s Thomas Pieters, England’s Tyrrell Hatton and Denmark’s Thorbjorn Olesen.
Activities get underway in Thomastown on Wednesday 29 June with this year’s pro-am set to welcome Leona Maguire alongside rugby’s Rob Kearney, former Republic of Ireland defender John O’Shea, actor James Nesbitt and Love Island’s Greg O’Shea.
With the likes of Harrington, Lowery and Hatton also confirmed for Limerick, will we be seeing more familiar names setting up in advance in Kilkenny? Only time will tell…
