5-time All-Ireland Club Championship winner TJ Reid is looking forward to getting back out onto the pitch with his Club following a long lay-off.
Senior champions Ballyhale Shamrocks face Intermediate champions Tullaroan in a hugely anticpated opening game July 31st.
Reid, who this week launched AIB’s new GAA series the Toughest Summer, expects a tough defence of their county title.
“Big test with Tullaroan, they have great players, youth pace and are well able to score. It will be a good test for us and also them, as they are back senior. We have a tough group, Dansfort and O’Loughlin gaels so any game in Kilkenny is never easy as the competitive streak in Kilkenny is 10/10.”
TJ Reid was at the launch of AIB’s The Toughest Summer, a documentary which will tell the story of Summer 2020 which saw an unprecedented halt to Gaelic Games. The series is made up of five webisodes as well as a full-length feature documentary to air on RTÉ One in late August. TJ Reid features in the first webisode that will be available on AIB’s YouTube channel from 1pm on Thursday 23rd July at www.youtube.com/aib.
