Tonight the Carlow senior hurlers are in action when they travel to play Kildare in the opening round of The Keogh Cup
Speaking ahead of that game, Carlow manager Tom Mullally told Scoreline that there are no set goals for the team this year and being competitive in the league and championship is his main concern.
“I do not think there are any aims quite yet. It would be to get together and see where we are at. Get our conditioning right, our fitness level right, and see what level we can perform at. If we can figure out what level that is and if it will put us in the position to compete.”
“We would hope to compete, that is why we want lads taking to the pitch.”
“It will be down to performance levels after that, and if that puts us in the picture where we compete to win, then we will be glad to do so.”
