Champion Jockey Paul Townend says Acapella Bourgeois being top weight might go against him in Gowran Park this week.
The horse which is trained by Willie Mullins is fancied for the Goffs Thyestes Handicap Chase at the local track on Thursday.
Paul says if he runs a clean race he’s in with a chance.
“I actually rode him in the race last year but he didn’t jump great but ran a credible race to finish where he did” said Paul.
“Due to all the mistakes he made, he was obviously second to Al boum photo in Tramore on new years day which was a good run, it’s hard to do around there with heavy weights but he definitely deserves to be up there if that’s where he goes”.
We are live from Gowran Park on Thursday 28th January for Goffs Thyestes Day and will have commentaries and coverage of all the races on air and online.
