Tullaroan Athletic Club Chairman Vincent Guthrie says there has been a huge response nationally and Internationally to the Tullaroan Marathon which takes place on Saturday.
Speaking to KCLR, Vincent says that Saturday’s event is a major event for a small parish.
“We have a huge response, we have them coming from all over Ireland and we have an International response as well.
We have them coming from as far away as Canada, we have some people actually coming from America that have traced their relations back to Tullaroan.
“It’s brilliant for a small parish like Tullaroan. This isn’t just a club event, this is all about the parish and the whole parish of Tullaroan, the whole community and the surrounding areas get in behind us and really support us, so it just brings a great buzz for the day and the weekend to a small parish.”
