Seán O’Brien will make his much anticipated London Irish debut against Sale Sharks today.
The Tullow Tank has been out of action since Leinsters May 2019 Champions Cup final loss to Saracens. O’Brien put pen to paper on a three-year deal with the Exiles in the second half of last season linking up ex Ireland boss Declan Kidney. Recovery from hip surgery has been a long arduous journey for the Carlow man however his new club have stood by their new man giving him time to regain his fitness
The Irish international is one of three changes from the side that hosted Wasps last weekend with Sekope Kepu and Ben Donnell also coming into the starting line-up. O’Brien will play at blindside flanker as his new club look to get a win on the road, having originally established himself as an openside specialist.
