Two Carlow Hurlers and Kilkenny manager named on Ireland Shinty team

Results: Final round of hurling league fixtures in Kilkenny

Two Carlow hurlers have been named on the Ireland U21 Shinty/Hurling squad.

James Doyle from St Mullins and Sean Whelan from Ballinkillen are part of the sides who are in the International Series involving Ireland and Scotland on Saturday next.

Kilkenny man Conor Phelan will manage the U21s along with Willie Maher from Tipperary.

The 2016 Senior Hurling/Shinty International Series involving Ireland and Scotland will take place on Saturday next, 22 October at 2.00pm in in Bught Park in Inverness, along with the U21 game which will take place at 11.50am.

Jeffrey Lynskey, Galway and Gregory O’ Kane, Antrim will manage the Seniors.

The Irish panels for the upcoming tests are as follows;
