Carlow Senior Football manager Niall Carew says while he was happy with their league win over Waterford, they want to keep the momentum going.
Leading 0-9 to 0-5 at halftime, Niall’s men put the foot to the floor in the second half, adding another 3-7 to their tally to breeze past the Deise.
Saturday’s game finished Carlow 3-16, Waterford 0-10.
They’re not in action again till Saturday the 29th of May at 5 pm when they play Wexford at home.
Niall told scoreline that the break will help them keep fresh.
“That game is gone now (Waterford), with the score difference it looks like it probably will put us into a semi-final unless Waterford has a big win over Wexford and then Wexford has to have a big win over us,” said Niall.
“That gives us a bit of time for hamstrings (injuries) and things like that, but we want to keep the momentum going, we want to keep learning in every game we play and we’re looking forward to the Wexford game in two weeks,” he added.
