This weekend’s VERY Camogie League Division 1A round two clash between Kilkenny and Galway is heading to UPMC Nowlan Park.

The defending All-Ireland champions meet the reigning league champions on home soil and while originally thought to be a double header with the intermediates in action also on Saturday, Kilkenny GAA HQ will host the senior clash.

Both sides served up super performances in the latter stage of the senior camogie championship last year, then again in the All-Ireland semi-final stages but this weekend looks to have a little more bite to things even at the early stage of the season.

Defeat to Clare for Kilkenny last weekend, coupled with Tipperary’s comfortable win over Galway leaving Kilkenny manager Brian Dowling to suggest that “you’re basically gone out of the league if you lose that” in reference to Saturday’s encounter.

We’ll be live with Martin Quilty, Áine Fahey and the Scoreline team in UPMC Nowlan Park with full coverage of the game with thanks to Market Cross Shopping Centre. Throw-in is set for 3pm. Kilkenny and Galway’s intermediate sides will meet in Division 2 at Clara for a 1pm throw-in.
