Well known Carlow businessman Sean Swan from Swans Electrical Expert in Carlow has announced his sponsorship of the Carlow Intermediate team again this year and has now also added the Minor side to those who will carry his name on the jersey.

The launch night was held in Swans shop in Strawhall in Carlow on Thursday 9th of February with Brendan Hennessy the MC and was joined by members of the Carlow Camogie team, Myshall Camogie team, Carlow Senior Hurlers Craig Wall and Seamus Murphy, Carlow GAA Chairman Sean Campion, Carlow Senior Football Manager Turlough O Brien.

They were also joined by Kilkenny Senior Hurlers Paul Murphy, Joey Holden and Colin Fennelly.

Brendan Hennessy kept the crowd entertained with interviews of the players and those behind the scenes of the Carlow county teams in Camogie, Hurling and Football.

Carlow’s hurlers and footballers have just begun their Allianz National Hurling and Football Leagues however Myshall Camogie girls are busy preparing for the All Ireland Intermediate Club Championship side. Carlows Senior team will play in the All Ireland Intermediate Championship this year.

They go up against Eglish of Derry on Sunday the 5th of March in Croke at 1.30pm, The Senior Final between Sarsfields of Galway and Slaughtneil follows that game at 3.15pm.

We caught up with Joey Holden and Paul Murphy at the launch to talk about Myshall, playing in an All Ireland Final with your club and more….
