St. Lachtains Intermediate Hurler Simon Rafter is hoping to have a better start to this years League campaign in contrast to last years slow start.
Speaking to KCLR ahead of their opening match this weekend against Fenians, Simon says they can’t wait to get going.
He said “It was a short break and it’s great to have the year come around again and it’s coming with the fine weather back at us so it’s good to get back at it and can’t wait to start”.
Speaking about last year he said “We had a slow start, a slow start to the League, but we had a change of manager during the year and with James Meagher coming on board we reached the Semi-Final of the Championship and we failed, on the day Tullaroan were probably the better team but we gave it a good crack, and hopefully this year we will have a better go at it”.
