James Stephens Under-21 Hurling manager Richie Hayes says it’s extremely important to win the Under-21 Championship as they are the only team from within the club left for competing for honors this year.
Speaking to KCLR, Richie says it’s important to be competing in finals.
“It’s the only team that is still involved in any competition in the club so it’s extremely important.
“It’s important for players to be competing in finals and obviously the loss of the Senior County Final was disappointing but that’s just sport.
“There is only going to be one winner on any given day, but it’s a very important match for us and we are really looking forward to it,” he said.
