James Stephens Secretary Niall Connolly says Saturday’s clash with O’Loughlin Gaels will a real barometer as to where they stand.
Speaking to KCLR ahead of Saturday’s League Final, Niall says it will be a serious test against the form club team in Kilkenny.
“O’Loughlins have been flying it I think so far this year and it will give us a good indication of where we are.
“I think in a lot of peoples minds O’Loughlins probably are favorites for the County title this year so certainly it will give us a good barometer of where we stand I suppose with regards to playing and will be good preparation for the following week as well,” he said.
Meanwhile O’Loughlin Gaels Senior Hurling manager Niall Bergin is hopeful that Saturday’s League Final clash with city neighbors James Stephens will be a good Championship test.
Speaking to KCLR, Niall says they will use Saturday’s game as preparation for their Senior Quarter-Final game the following weekend.
“We are still finding out about our team and obviously we have a few knocks and niggles and that as well like all of the teams at this stage.
“We will be using it to prepare for the weekend after next, and we intend on going and giving it our all on Saturday and see where that will get us,” he sadi.
