It’s another busy weekend in Volleyball for Carlow and Kilkenny players this weekend, both in domestic and international circles.

Ireland take on Northern Ireland in Newry, Co Down this Saturday for this Annual Volleyball event. SETU Carlow will be represented on the senior Irish Mens team by Jonathan Tougher and Alameen Disu, while Kilkenny Spartans will have Thomas Comerford representing the club on the Under 20s team. Kick-off for the games in Newry starts at 9.30 am.

All Spartan Women’s Teams are in league action this weekend for their club.

Matches at home in Loreto School for the women’s teams in Division 1&2, starting from 10.30 on Saturday, while the Spartan Division 3 team travel to Naas on Sunday for 2.30 pm.

In school news, Presentation Secondary School, Kilkenny qualified for the semi-finals of the Irish Junior Cup with their two teams at the Watershed Sports Centre last Tuesday. They both had comprehensive victories against Tyndall College, Carlow, and Scoil Chríost Rí of Portlaoise to advance to the Final 4.
