The nominations are in.
January’s David Buggy Motors Kilkenny Sport Star Award is up for grabs with athletics and horse racing to the fore.
This month’s award is the first of the year with the closing date this Sunday 10th February at 6pm.
January Sport Star Award Nominees
First up is Gowran Athletic Club’s Hannah Kehoe; having tasted success at U15 and U16 in 2018 was selected to represent Ireland at U17 level in the Celtic Cross Country in Belfast this month.
Up there too was St. Senans AC’s Tadgh Connolly representing the Kilmacow club on the Irish A Team, helping team Ireland to a first place finish.
And finally, local horse trainer Jimmy Barcoe and his horse Allez Kal tasted glory on Thyestes Day at Gowran Park.
