Pádraig Walsh will captain a strong Kilkenny side for Saturday evening’s Walsh Cup clash with Wexford (Live on KCLR from 6pm).
The Tullaroan clubman is joined in the starting fifteen alongside members of the Cats’ panel in recent years including Mikey Butler, David Blanchfield, Paddy Deegan and Cian Kenny.
Gearóid Dunne’s goal scoring exploits from the bench against Laois have earned him a starting place at corner forward, while All-Ireland winning U20 captain Pádraic Moylan will begin the game at centre-back.
Lisdowney goalkeeper Aidan Tallis replaces Darren Brennan and Glenmore’s Shane Murphy is joined by O’Loughlin Gaels’ Deegan in midfield.
Victory for Derek Lyng’s side will secure a Walsh Cup final place against Galway on January 28th.
If you can’t get to the game, KCLR is the only place where you can hear full live commentaries of all of Kilkenny’s Walsh Cup, Allianz National Hurling League, Leinster championship and All-Ireland series games in 2023.
