Chris Bolger’s fourth goal for IT Carlow in Wednesday’s Fitzgibbon Cup victory over UL was a cracker.
The students came out on top against their Limerick counterparts, pulling off something of a shock victory to run out 4-16 to 0-23 winners.
DJ Carey’s charges had three goals to their name early on in the proceedings on a day where conditions left the ball “hanging” according to the Kilkenny legend, and goals were very much something his side had been working on and knew they would need in the game. Jerome Quinn caught all the action below.
Bolger’s goal came as IT Carlow’s fourth, with Marty Kavanagh, Jack Fagan and Mark Russell also finding the net to book a place in this year’s Fitzgibbon Cup semi-final.
