Retiring in 2010 with six All-Ireland medals in his pocket, Derek Lyng has been an integral part of Brian Cody’s backroom team for the Kilkenny senior hurling setup for the past two years.
KCLR Sport’s Jack McCarron caught up with Derek recently at Kilkenny’s media night and got to ask him about Kilkenny’s run-in to the All-Ireland, some of the relatively new faces to the senior setup and what can be made of Galway’s forward and half forward lines.
Take a look above then pop 6pm in your diary for this evening’s The Way It Is for chats with Kilkenny’s Walter Walsh and Galway’s Jason Flynn.
