It’s one of the most iconic holes in world golf.
The par-3, 137-yard 17th is also one of golf’s most difficult propositions with little but water between you and the hole.
Hence the nickname “the island green”.
Late on Sunday, Ireland’s Shane Lowry hit just the tenth ace in the history of the hole at the Players Championship.
It’s been a rough few days weather-wise at the Championship in Florida with play suspended again yesterday (this time due to darkness), leaving Lowry five under par through 14 holes of his third round.
Whatever the result though, and wherever he finishes in the windup, we’re going to be seeing this clip again and again and again.
