Last season’s winner of the Galway Plate, American Grand National, and Oaksey Chase at Sandown, the eight-year-old will line up with Rachael Blackmore who is continuing to deputize for Jordan Gainford.
Speaking to KCLR Live, Hanlon is hopeful for another victory in a different country for Hewick;
“He is bringing us all over the country, and all over the world. He is in great form, and please God now on Saturday, I think the race will suit him.”
“It is worth a lot of money, €390,000. It is one of the biggest races of the year in race. We are hoping, hoping, hoping.”
