Carrickshock hurler Michael Rice admits they got away with in it in Saturday’s Leinster Intermediate Final against Celbridge.
Speaking to KCLR after Saturday’s victory, Michael says they got the rub of the green in which they didn’t get in years previously.
“Ah sure we got away with it. We weren’t good, but we stayed plugging away and got enough ball in there to eventually break them.
It’s nice to get a bit of luck on our side, we probably got one or two against us over the years so we will take that one. We didn’t look like getting a goal, I mean the keeper made a great save there from John Power in the second-half and it just looked like we were plugging away, someone else stuck it in the side netting so we were probably getting one or two half chances and then it just seemed to flow and I think there is a great believe to stay at it anyway, and sure you never know what happens”
We’ll have more reaction and analysis from Carrickshock’s Leinster final victory on sport on The Way It Is after 6pm Monday.
