Kildavin Clonegal are Junior Champions in Carlow, after just returning to the hurling pitch from a 15-year absence.
🏆Well done to @KC_GAA on producing a dominant display to win the @JJKavanaghBuses Junior Hurling C’ship Final today. Hard luck to MLR.

They took on Mount Leinster Rangers and came out on top in a 1-18 to 1-07 victory. At the final whistle, emotions were running high for players, including Padraig Ryan.
“I’m emotional because I have my uncle training us with John (Ryan), my father is a selector. They’ve done this, they’ve got to finals, they won finals with Kildavin and for us to write our name alongside them, it’s massive, huge.”
“We’re back. It’s 20 years since we won a final here in Kildavin. We were hungry, we had a famine, the famines over.”
My favourite pic from last Sunday's co hurling finals! A young man has his Kildavin/Clonegal flag flying in the gentle breeze on the NCP sod after his club defeated MLR in a really top class Jun final! Thanks to his mom for allowing me to publish! @Carlow_GAA @KC_GAA pic.twitter.com/DiCy4TE79Y
