Mooncoin manager Joe Murphy says that Westmeath’s shock Under-21 victory over Kilkenny in this years Leinster Championship has served as the ultimate warning ahead of the challenge of Oliver Plunketts on Saturday,
The Westmeath club travel to Nowlan Park for Saturday’s Leinster Junior Championship Club Semi-Final, and speaking to KCLR, Joe says that Westmeath hurling is not to be taken for granted……
“We don’t know a hell of a lot about them. We have a fair idea”
“They will be a big step in the standard that we played in the previous round. Westmeath are not a county to be taken for granted as our Under-21s realized this year, but all we can do is get our own team right. If we have our lads at 100%, we will be happy enough and we see ourselves in with a good shout if we are in that kind of shape”
