Kilkenny Senior manager Brian Cody says it will be a huge test when his side face Davy Fitzgerald’s Wexford in this Sunday’s Walsh Cup semi-final.
Speaking to KCLR after Sunday’s victory over Westmeath, Cody offered the fixture it will certainly be a competitive game.
“Antrim and Westmeath are two good hurling teams, and the way as it turned out, last Sunday we had a good win and Westmeath were very, very competitive”, says Cody.
“I mean we got the goals, but I mean essentially we more or less got the same number of points. They got some great scores, so I wouldn’t consider it an easy game or anything. Next Sunday now is Wexford and I think they are at home as well so it’s going to be obviously a huge test.”
Kilkenny’s Walsh Cup Semi-final with Wexford is on Sunday at 2pm in New Ross. You’ll be able to listen to the game in full, live from O’Kennedy Park, exclusively on KCLR Fanzone with additional updates on air across the afternoon. Galway will play IT Carlow in the competition’s second semi-final.
