Wexford Minor Hurling manager Eamonn Scallan says they will have been boosted by the success of the Senior Team who have reached the National League Semi-Final.
Speaking to KCLR ahead of Saturday’s Minor clash with Kilkenny, Eamonn says they need look no further than the progression of one of their players from last years Minor Team.
“To go to Nowlan Park and to take on a team of the pedigree of this Kilkenny Minor Team is going to be a very big ask for them”, says Scallan.
“If you ask any minor in any county they are always looking to the senior team to see how they are getting on. If your senior team in hurling or football are getting on well, it does give the minors direction in which to go.
“If there are one or two players on the team this year with us that have any aspirations as regards hurling senior with Wexford down the road, maybe look at Damien Reck and see what can happen in the space of 12 months.”
