Willie Mullins and mother Maureen pick up Horse Racing Ireland Awards

Local trainer Willie Mullins and his mother Maureen picked up awards at the Horse Racing Ireland Awards yesterday in Leopardstown.

Willie for the National Hunt Award while Maureen got the Contribution to the Industry Award.

Horse of the year went to “Minding”, the Flat Award to Aidan O Brien, Mouse Morris got the Outstanding Achievement, point to point to Jamie Codd and Galway Racecourse was best venue.

Willie Mullins had another fantastic season with 34 Grade 1 wins worldwide, including seven at the Cheltenham Festival.
