Paulstown Boxing Club Head Coach Ollie O’Neill says it’s very difficult for top class boxers to even win a County Championship.

The weigh in for the Kilkenny Carlow Boxing Championships will take place on Sunday morning ahead of competition the following weekend.

“It’s very competitive among the different weight categories”, says O’Neill.

“If there are six in the weight now, you could have three fights which would be the norm and very very hard to win them”.

“When you see the likes of Darren O’Neill, Shane Flavin, all them all boys came through – they all won County Championships back over the years, Keith Flavin and all them lads.”

“It’s going to be very very hard to wins”.

“Callan’s Claire Grace won county boxing titles as well”, said Ollie.
