It was a day for Carlow Hurling to forget as they went down 5-16 to 1-11 in Netwatch Cullen Park in Round Two of the Allianz National Hurling League on Sunday.
Carlow trailed 2-12 to 0-03 at half time and came into the game on a high after last weekends defeat over Kildare in Newbridge.
“Yeah to be honest it’s probably (performance wise) one of the worst days we’ve had in a long long time, I can’t explain it, anything that could go wrong, probably did go wrong”
“We started reasonably well enough but just didn’t perform on the day and it was one of those things , things just looked flat, we just looked totally out of it, London just came at us and got the better of us, got a couple of scores”
“We conceded 12 to 13 frees in the first half, simple frees, our discipline then allowed the ref bring up the ball on one or two occasions which made them scoreable, they knocked in the scores and went in at half time ahead.”
Carlow Manager Pat English spoke to our reporter Kevin Regan after the game.
