Young Irelands have confirmed a new intermediate manager for the upcoming campaign

Barry Power has been confirmed as the Young Irelands Intermediate Manager for the 2023 season.

The O’Loughlin Gaels native was an All-Ireland Minor and U-21 winner as a player and has previously managed O’Loughlin Gaels and more recently Clara.

His Selectors have yet to be confirmed.

YOUNG IRELANDS JUVENILE PRESENTATION NIGHT

In more news coming out of the club, a presentation night for Young Irelands Juvenile Club will take place on Friday 18th November in Gowran Park Racecourse.

The night will celebrate the achievements of the Young Irelands Juvenile Teams throughout 2022 who will receive their Medals & a busy night is in store with Guest of honor 8-Times All-Ireland Senior Football Winner with Dublin Philly McMahon.

There will also be a special tribute to Harry Byrne who was a member of the Young Irelands U-13 Team that won the League/Championship double in 2021, Young Irelands stalwart Tom Hunt who gave sterling service to the Club for several years is due to be honored.

Also, there will be a special presentation to Paddy Langton who was a member of the Kilkenny U-20 Team that won the All-Ireland Final.

DOUBLE QUARTER-FINAL GLORY FOR PRIMARY FOOTBALLERS

All seems to be well out in Gowran. Last week was a superb 24 hours for the Primary School Footballers who had two Quarter-Final victories this week.

On Tuesday, they defeated Danesfort 5-4 to 2-4 in the Country Cup Quarter-Final, while 24 hours later they were most impressive in dismantling Gaelscoil Osrai 6-7 to 1-5 in the Roinn A Quarter-Final.
