One Brave contender has been getting in some training time with The Spider himself, Anderson Silva, before heading to Belfast on Saturday.
‘The Hurricane’ Zach Zane (8-7) has been pictured with MMA legend and UFC veteran Anderson Silva (34-8) in wrapping up his training camp.
The former UFC middleweight champion joined Zane on his last day of training. Both fighters train out of Black House MMA alongside the likes of Lyoto Machida and Rafael Cavalcante.
“Camp Is done. I am heading to Belfast on Monday (today)”, says Zane.
“I would like to extend my gratitude towards all those at Black House MMA. I too have Irish blood in me. People have been asking me how do I feel going into the hometown of my opponent to compete? For me, I am going to another beautiful part of this amazing world and will give an amazing show to all the fans of martial arts”, he continued.
Zane lands in Belfast today to begin the final preparations to face Decky ‘The Diamond’ Dalton (7-3) at Brave 13: European Evolution on Saturday night.
It’s almost a year since Dalton picked up a medical stoppage win over Kilkenny’s Mick Brennan at BAMMA 30 to stop a run of 3 straight defeats. He had been booked for Bellator 187 and most recently for BAMMA 35 last month but both bouts never transpired.
Saturday’s event marks Brave’s first foray into European territory and also sees Kilkenny’s ‘Magic’ Myles Price go up against another local hero, ‘Stormin’ Norman Parke. Stephen Loman and Frans Mlambo will headline the card for the Brave Bantamweight championship.
