Kilkenny Under-21 hurling manager Eddie Brennan says this evening’s Walsh Cup game against DIT represents a perfect opportunity to see what shape the Under-21 squad are in.
They’ll form the bulk of the team that takes to the field at 7.30pm at the MW Hire training centre in Dunmore.
“Its a good opportunity, its going to be a good work out, following from that look we have Offaly on Sunday in Birr.
“Its getting us up and running, its getting the feet under us and getting things going, this time of the year there’s not much you can do, a lot of these guys will be playing Fitzgibbon Cup for the next month and a half so we’re probably limited in what we can do with them.
“But look its definitely an opportunity to start looking at how they’re performing and what shape fellas are in and maybe more so what their attitude (is) and what they are like”
