Former Carlow Senior Football goalkeeper John Kearns says that the team are focusing on the positives rather than the negatives which was a major factor within the county for so many years.
Speaking to KCLR ahead of Sunday’s game against London, John says that the squad is in a healthier state now compared to previously.
“You know the thing was to get kind of gradual improvement. It wasn’t going to happen overnight. We know how down in the doldrums Carlow has been over the last number of years. They have indeed improved and that was the important thing. The thing now is to try and get out of that Division 4. It really is it’s just so important, you have seen teams who have done it. We had a draw and we were actually disappointed with only getting a draw. The thing is now the obviously the players are looking ahead and looking at the positive side of things rather than the negative which was the problem in Carlow for many many years”
