Holders Thomastown United got one step closer to retaining the KCLR McCalmont Cup with a resounding win over Evergreen 46 on Saturday night.
It took 20 minutes to open the scoring with Andy Kavanagh striking first for Thomastown before Ollie Kirwan (30) and Sean Brennan (35) put the holders 3-0 up inside the first half.
Evergreen 46 pulled one back to narrow the gap just before half time to 3-1.
It was all Thomastown again after three break, Sean Brennan picking up his second on the 50 minute mark.
Again Evergreen 46 found the back of the net on 55 to cut the gap back to 2, but a second from Andy Kavanagh (58) along with goals from Aaron Kehoe (63) and youngster Rory Monks (83) ensured United progress to the last four with room to spare.
