Ballyhale Shamrocks manager Andy Maloney says Friday nights game against Clara takes on extra significance with both teams having lost their first round games.
The sides go head to head on Friday at 7pm in Thomastown in round two of the Kilkenny Senior Hurling League.
Speaking to KCLR, Andy says the match could have a bearing when it comes to points at the end of the league…..
“Ah I think it does. I suppose we kind of went into the Dicksboro game hoping to try and get two points out of the game and it just didn’t work out for us on the night”
“In fairness to Dicksboro they played very well, and in the last 10-15 minutes they actually really took over, but like I suppose the fact that Clara lost as well, this game on Friday night if it comes to points and a head to head situation, I think all these games will count”.
