Mullinavat Senior hurling manager Maurice Aylward says that not having a full panel for training has been a hindrance.
They’re getting ready for their Kilkenny Senior Hurling League Round Two game against O Loughlin Gaels at 7pm on Saturday.
Mullinavat lost to Erins Own in the first round of games in the Senior League, and speaking to KCLR ahead of tomorrow evening’s clash against O’Loughlin Gaels, Maurice says they don’t have the back-up to deal with the players that are absent…..
“No, we are not getting numbers for it. The numbers are small now”
“Admittedly there is a lot of players away in Dublin and Limerick and Cork and there is one or two on the County panel so we haven’t a huge panel”
“If you have 7 players or 8 missing and then 1 or 2 injuries well straight away you are down to about a dozen players like so we haven’t that huge back-up from the Junior ranks if you like to put it that way”
