There’s not too many people who’d have thought Ballyhale Shamrocks would be heading into the third round of the Kilkenny Senior Hurling League without a win, but that’s how it stands after being outgunned by Clara in Thomastown on Friday night.
Clara lead the way at half time by a single score, 1-9 to 0-11, Liam Ryan helping himself to a goal. A second would follow from Jason Byrne in the second half and Clara get off and running in the league, wrapping things up 2-16 to 0-17.
