St. Andrews Gaelic Football manager Hamish Beaton says the key for their dual players to not to have them burnt out.

Speaking to KCLR ahead of Sunday’s Final round league game against Mt. Leinster Rangers, Beaton says they have managed the situation quite well so far between the hurling and football clubs.

“Well so far up and since we have started training we have worked well with Erins Own here in the town with training, and so far, we have worked the training well”, says Hamish.

“The key for us is the dual players don’t get burnt out, which can happen, so you have to look at the players and see. Some nights if you are training, a rest is the best thing for those players and so far I think we have been working it pretty well between the two clubs.”

St. Andrews and Mt. Leinster Rangers meet at McGrath Park, Bagenalstown this Sunday evening at 7pm. Rangers are currently bottoom of Division 1, winless, while St. Andrews are just two points clear with one win from 6. Eire Og lead the way with with a 100% record, Tinryland hot on their heels in second.
