Kilkenny Under-21 manager Eddie Brennan says it will be evident once the ball is throw-in tonight (Wednesday) how motivated they are to make up for the hurt of last years defeat to Westmeath.
Kilkenny take on Dublin in the Leinster U21 Quarter Final at 7.30pm in Nowlan Park.
Speaking to KCLR, Eddie says they have a formidable obstacle to overcome if they are to win tonight.
“A few of the boys were there last year and they experienced what is was like to be in a losing dressing room and that is certainly going to form part of the motivation”
“But I suppose the biggest thing of all is the Leinster Champions are coming to Nowlan Park and present a formidable challenge and how the guys rise to that, and that’s the thing”
“They should be looking forward to it. We are looking forward to it at this stage, it’s all about the next match really, last year is last year, it’s done and dusted and like I said, it will be evident when the ball is thrown in next Wednesday night how hurt some of the guys were last year”
