Carlow Intermediate Camogie manager Mark Brennan says they need to minimise the mistakes from the Down game ahead of the clash at home to Cork on Saturday week.

Carlow recovered from an eight point deficit to snatch a draw against the Ulster ladies, and speaking to KCLR, Mark says they have a formidable challenge to look ahead to against one of the All-Ireland favorites.

“Cork are probably one of the favourites for this competition. By the looks of things, they are really putting a huge emphasis on it again this year”, says Brennan.

“They have a couple of girls who started on their senior team and are playing for them as well like so they are going to be a huge step up again for us. We are under no illusions, it’s going to be a really really tough game, but again this is where we want to be.”

“It’s going to be a tough learning curve but hopefully the girls, they are quick learners and we will just have to review the Down game and see if we can look at the mistakes that we made there and try to minimize them against this Cork Team because every single thing is going to be punished by these girls and it’s going to be a real massive challenge for us.”
