Knockout Hurling – you simple can’t beat it.
It’s last chance saloon and backs to the wall stuff.
For Kilkenny or Limerick, Championship will be over in early July and that in itself is a baffling thought.
This game in Nowlan Park on Saturday is one that I am really looking forward to immensely.
You have a Kilkenny side who are surely set to kick out and let loose after been heavily criticised by many this season and a Limerick team who were not a million miles off beating Clare and are littered with a host of good young up and coming Hurlers.
Once again its a quiet Kilkenny camp and anyone working in the media will know that it’s difficult to get an insight into whats happening inside the camp itself!
I’m sure the Kilkenny lads will have been hurting after that loss to Wexford and will be out to prove a point come Saturday.
The team is set to be named tonight (Friday) and it will be interesting to see how many under 21s are going to be named with the provincial decider against Wexford set to take place on Wednesday.
Limerick aren’t afraid to field under 21s and have named four to start in their line up and as we posted earlier on KCLRFANZONE.COM there is a great mix of youth an experience in their panel.
It was interesting to hear Ger Hegarty say that TJ Reid and Richie Hogan playing away from goal gives Limerick a better chance, but Ger Aylward should be a lot sharper this time out and he along with Colin Fennelly can be the match winners for Kilkenny on Saturday.
I think this one will be tight but Kilkenny should come up trumps when its needed the most.
