Former Old Leighlin Football Karl O’Dwyer says if Carlow perform, they will defeat Leitrim in Saturday’s All-Ireland Qualifier.
Carlow and Leitrim clash on Saturday at 3pm in Netwatch Cullen Park.
Speaking to KCLR, Karl says it will be a tough game and they have always struggled against Leitrim….
“I think Brendan Murphy is out if I am correct in that”
“As far as I know now, I am not 100% sure of that but Brendan would be a huge loss to them and like they have always struggled against Leitrim”
“Leitrim beat them in the League up in Carrick-on-Shannon as well so they certainly won’t get it easy against Leitrim and Leitrim will fancy their chances as well and that will be a tough game, but I think they performed well against Dublin”
“They got over London which is always a tricky venue. I think if they perform they will win, their is no doubt about that but I mean it won’t be easy”
“At home, Carlow’s home record wouldn’t be great either so I think they will certainly be under pressure but I would hope they would get through with a couple of points to spare”
