It was a game that certainly wasn’t short of excitement last night at Semple Stadium.
Having struggled in normal time, Kilkenny came back from seven points down to bring the game to extra time.
However Waterford came good again in the additional periods and goals from Jamie Barron and Maurice Shanahan gave them their first Championship victory over Kilkenny since 1959 on a scoreline of 4-23 to 2-22.
Brendan Hennessey and Michael Walsh were on commentary for KCLR with Oisin Langan giving a dig out here and there as well.
