Palatine Chairman Nicky Parle says it’s going to be very hard work to retain the County Senior Football Championship.
Speaking to KCLR ahead of Sunday evenings opener against Tinryland, Nicky says they are not thinking about the fact they are going for three-in-a-row.
“There will be no one writing us off and look Eire Og haven’t won one since 2012. You are going to have Rathvilly, Old Leighlin, you are going to have Tinryland sleeping giants . I think this year is wide open.
“Of course we have the favorites tags and rightly so, but I mean we will have to work extremely hard to win this three-in-a-row and we are not thinking as three-in-a-row.
“We are thinking we won two Championships and this is this years now and the last two years are gone and dusted but for us, it’s hard work to win this Championship,” he said.
